GrantScout

Privacy policy

Last updated 2 October 2026. This policy covers GrantScout, a plugin and connector for ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants published by Yash Chowdhury ("we").

What we collect

Only what your AI assistant (such as ChatGPT or Claude) sends to GrantScout's tools to answer your request: search keywords, the applicant type, funding category, agency and status filters you ask for, and grant opportunity IDs or numbers. We don't receive your name, email, account details, chat history, organization details beyond what's in those fields, or location, and we don't ask for them.

How we use it

Solely to search the public Grants.gov database and return the results to your AI assistant.

Who receives it

Grants.gov (operated by the US Department of Health and Human Services), which receives the search terms, filters and opportunity IDs as part of each lookup. Cloudflare, which hosts GrantScout and processes requests on our behalf. We don't sell or share data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising or to train models.

Retention

We don't store your requests or results. Cloudflare may keep short-lived operational logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability, for no more than 30 days. GrantScout briefly keeps public Grants.gov filter lists in memory to reduce load on Grants.gov; these contain no data about you.

Your controls

You choose what to share; you can disable or uninstall GrantScout in ChatGPT or Claude at any time. For questions or requests about your data, email yc@salesup.club.

Children

GrantScout isn't directed to children under 13.
