Good to know
GrantScout covers federal grants listed on Grants.gov only. It doesn't include state, city, foundation or corporate grants, or loans.
Most federal grants go to organizations, not individuals. Nonprofits, state and local governments, tribes and universities are the main recipients. Federal grants for for-profit small businesses are rare, and there are no general federal grants for starting or growing a business. Small businesses doing research and development should look at the SBIR and STTR programs; most other small business funding comes through SBA loan programs and state or local economic development agencies.
Always read the full announcement before applying. To apply through Grants.gov, organizations need a SAM.gov registration and a Grants.gov account, which can take several weeks.
